There was a lot of news released today.
I have to digest it all, quite frankly. I don’t want to give my thoughts prematurely … there is also a LOT to sum up, and I want to make sure I have all my facts straight, too.
But just now, just at this moment, I am perhaps more deeply unhappy with what I’ve just read, in regards to the future of EQ2 – and not for the reasons one might assume — than I have been, ever, at any point in its history – and I’ve been playing it the ENTIRE time. I have not missed one day.
But, as I say, I will leave it at that until I really have time to think on it, read some more information, and perhaps get some clarification.
Stay strong mighty rat.
LOL … I’ll get over it, I suppose. It’s only been one day. No telling where things will go in one month. This IS SOE, after all. Things change very quickly, it seems …
I too would like to get over it, it is an “alpha” release after all, although the fact its been announced in the gaming press kind of sets it in concrete.
But the key problem to getting over it for me is that I just cannot see any happy resolution to it, SOE are demonstrating here that they don’t even think like gamers.
Instead self revive potions, how does that improve the gameplay?
SOE clearly have top management thinking like Chinese/Korean RMT grinders, the whole idea is so fundementally flawed its difficult to see how they can change enough to be acceptable.
Its like employing a decorator for the house and decorator telling you his alpha plan for improving things is to get some bottles, petrol and j-cloths and petrol bomb all the rooms, how does the discussion progress positively from there?
